Oticon have now released their very latest and advanced technology to the market, Oticon More. Released in January 2021 the More expands on the already hugely successful OPN S platform. Oticon have released this product on their new Polaris platform and the innovative Deep Neural Network setup. The idea is that the More is that is gives more access to the meaningful sounds around you, providing balance and clarity when listening to the details of life. The More comes in three technology levels: More 1, More 2 and More 3. Below we will list the key features and benefits to the OPN More and how it stands as one of the best hearing aids on the current market.

Oticon's Polaris Platform

The Polaris platform is the backbone of Oticon More. It is purpose-built for hearing aids. This focused approach allows it to constantly run a trained Deep Neural Network while powering all the hearing aid technology advances in Oticon More with more speed, precision, and capacity than was ever possible before. The Oticon OPN More 2 contains

Deep Neural Network Process

The Deep Neural Network Process (DNNP) was developed incorporating Oticons ethos of BrainHearing technology. Oticon have focused on brain hearing technology since the launch of the ir original OPN technology. They have now combined this with DNNP which in simple terms is designed to actively mirror how the brain functions to provide unrivaled natural sound. DNNP has been trained using 12 million sound scenes based on real life sounds, to make sure that you get the most natural sounds from the entire world around you. Oticon is the first hearing aid company to train an on-board DNN with sounds recorded outside of the lab, radically transforming the information your hearing aids help you to hear with. Oticon More continuously and automatically provides you with the optimal sound you need in any given situation, and it does all this while ensuring you are not overwhelmed by all the sounds around you. We break DNNP down into 4 stages:

- Oticon have recorded the environmental sounds.

- The sounds are then trained into the DNNP so that it can recognise them.

- The DNNP then offers natural balancing and accurate analysis of the users soundscope.

- High resolution sound is delivered quickly and effortlessly to cater for the sound scope. This uses Oticon MoreSound amplifiers.

MoreSound Intelligence 

'A Quantam Leap in Sound Scene Processing'. A bold statement from Oticon but one that looks to have some serious weight behind it. MoreSound Intelligence captures and optimizes sounds. It provides access to the complete sound scene, where individual sounds stand out in clear contrast to each other. By scanning and analyzing the environment at 500 times per second it provides precise analysis of the complex environment. Once this has been done it uses the user specific setup to provide the best hearing aid settings for that environment.

Once the sound scene is analyzed, MoreSound Intelligence precisely organizes the sounds around the user, and then utilizes the DNN’s vast training from real life to process and create contrast between the identified sounds. The result is a more natural representation of all sounds in a clear, complete, and balanced sound scene. This is used in combination with the MoreSound Amplifier.

MoreSound Amplifier

Oticon's latest amplification system. It has been designed to be the most balanced amplification system on the market. It works precisely and quickly to ensure that important details and dynamics are made audible and available to the user. More Sound Amplifier MoreSound Amplifier is a dynamic and balanced amplification system that seamlessly adapts its resolution and speed to the nature of the sound scene at hand. With a six-fold increase in resolution and an adaptive speed pilot, MoreSound Amplifier makes the full sound scene audible while maintaining the fine contrast and balance between sounds. This ensures the brain has access to the important information it needs to make sense of sound.

MoreSound Optimizer

Optimal gain all day, without the risk of feedback. The MoreSound Optimizer is an improvement on the OpenSound Optimizer which works along side Oticons renowned OpenSound Navigator to provide fantastic sound.

Virtual Outer Ear

Virtual Outer Ear provides three realistic models of the ear pinna to provide better spatial balance for the user. This gives a better understanding of where the sound is located and maximizes listening experience.

Sound Enhancer

Sound Enhancer put simply is, dynamic gain primarily for speech, given in complex environments. This is automatic and fast to provide a simple transition from one complex environment to another.

Spatial Sound

Spacial Sound improves ability to locate the most interesting and specific sounds the user wants to hear. Such as conversation in a restaurant. Again automatic Spacial Sound adjusts to give the maximum efficiency.

Speech Rescue

Speech rescue is a form of high frequency compressions, which gives those with significant high frequency issues, a chance to hear clear rich sounds. Speech rescue compresses the high frequencies into a lower frequency more audible range, without compromising the quality of sound.

Soft Speech Booster

Soft Speech Booster improves soft speech understanding without turning up the volume. It gives a natural lift to those softer sounds whether in a simple or complex environment.

Clear Dynamics

Clear Dynamics gives better sound quality with less distortion in loud environments. Similar to a feedback system when sounds get too loud or overly present within the environment, Clear Dynamics kicks in to suppress them so they do not become uncomfortable for the user.

Wind Noise Management

Wind Noise Management improves access to speech in situations with wind noise. It filters the noise from the wind so the user can have comfortable conversations. Wind noise is still audible but the suppresser means it doesn't give any electronic static or feedback such as whistling.

Tinnitus SoundSupport

Relief sounds for tinnitus patients. Oticon's Tinnitus Sound Support presents a wide variety of different relief sounds should the end user require something further to alleviate their tinnitus.

Build Quality

The Oticon More is their smallest rechargeable system in their portfolio. All the More hearing aids are rechargeable meaning no more battery changes. The More hearing aids are IP68-certified. That means they can withstand humidity, moisture and dust. They also comes with a manufacturers 5 year warranty for any repairs or services work needed.

Rechargeability

As previously stated all the Oticon More range is now solely rechargeable. Oticon claim their latest rechargeable will give a full 24 hour use including streaming from smart bluetooth devices. A full charge takes 3 hours but a mini charge which gives 5-6 hours only takes 30 minutes of charging time. The Oticon chargers are well built to last and are very reliable. They are also backed by a warranty.

Streaming Facilities 

Oticon More is a Made for Iphone Platform that will now also stream seamlessly to Android devices. This will enable the user to stream phonecalls, music and audio from their smartphone or tablet. The Oticon ON App will allow the user to control certain facilities such as volume control, program changes and streaming facilities. The More devices come with built in remote care facilities meaning that the user can connect with their audiologist from anywhere in the world to receive fine tuning changes and updates via their smartphone.

The More also facilitate wireless internet using the IFTTT meaning the user can set up smart devices such as Alexa, Ring doorbells etc. They are also fully wireless to support Oticons range of wireless accessories for such as TV Streaming.

Available Hearing Aid Styles/Colours
